Plentiful Harvest

"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few." -- Matthew 9:37

A harvest is appointed. "Whenever I would restore the fortunes of my people" (Hos. 6:11). Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest (Jn. 4:35).

When you reap the harvest of your land, moreover, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field nor gather the gleaning of your harvest; you are to leave them for the needy and the alien. I am the LORD your God. (Lv 23:22).

When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands (Dt. 24:19).

Restored Fortunes

The LORD their God will care for them; he will restore their fortunes (Zep. 2:7).
